Cruise

My First Cruise

This March I went on my first cruise on the Royal Caribbean "Anthem of the Seas" ship.  The cruise was for 7 days and begin in NYC / Bayonne NJ port with stops in Orlando, Nassau and Coco Cay Bahamas.   See Video below for visual tour of my cruise.

The ship was awesome with 16 decks.  I kept forgetting that I was on a ship, I kept thinking I was in a hotel.  The cabin I had was interior with virtual balcony.  It is a full length greenscreen showing what was going on outside full time.  It was okay but being outside on the deck was much better.

My day went like this:

6:00 AM - Wake Up

6:30 AM On the upper deck to walk around the ship on the track.  It was beautiful to see the sunrise in the mornings.

7:00 AM breakfast at one of the dinning places.

7:30 AM sit on the deck in the adult section and watch the ocean go by and sometime nap.

8:30 AM Morning Stretch Class

9:00 AM Dance Fitness Class

9:30 AM 12 Noon Miscellaneous Activities

12 Noon - 1 PM Lunch

1 PM - 5:30 PM Miscellaneous Activities

5:30 PM Dinner

6:30 PM - 10 PM Miscellaneous Activities

10 PM Bedtime

Ports

Orlando - The schedule was to port from 8 AM to 8 PM.  But due to mechanical issues with ship we arrived in Orlando several hours late. Actually, was there for just 2 hours.

Nassau, Bahamas - Arrive there by 12 noon and got off the ship, went shopping and looking around the city.

2:15 PM at port to go on guided bus tour of Nassau.  The best tour was typical of most that shows you the best neighborhoods, etc.  But to my surprise I saw a Mcdonalds, Wendys and Taco Bell.  During the tour a rainstorm came but good for me I was seated inside a bus.  The tour stopped at a place where they made whiskey and samples of it was given out.

5 PM back on ship

5:30 PM Dinner

6:30 PM - 10 PM Miscellaneous Activities

10 PM Bedtime

Coco Cay, Bahamas - Got to beach around 12 Noon

The best time I had, danced with local performers, they did not know I had a dance background.

Found a hemlock and slept in it for 2 hours.

2 PM went to get something to eat

2:30 PM walk around the beach and the island.

3:30 PM walk back to ship

3:45 PM got in the hot tub.

4:15 PM took another nap in my cabin.

5:30 PM Dinner

6:30 PM - 10 PM Miscellaneous Activities

10 PM Bedtime

Day6 and 7 at sea heading back to US.
